Medical volunteers from the Provincial Health Office and the Office of the Provincial Governor showed paramount care and support to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Amadeo through free healthcare services provided to them on July 25, 2017 at the municipal covered court. Aside from medical attention rendered to a total of 227 PWDs and their immediate family, another 29 patients underwent dental extraction; while 320 day care pupils benefited from fluoride application. In appreciation of the provincial government’s medical and dental mission, the federation of PWDs in Amadeo expressed their gratitude to Cavite Governor Boying Remulla as well as to Provincial Administrator for Community Affairs Engr. Redel John Dionisio for always welcoming their request for assistance especially on their basic needs. (PICAD)
To create awareness on the importance of healthy diet and promote habit on giving suitable nutrition for the members of the family, the Provincial Health Office, in partnership with the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction (IIRR), celebrated the 43rd Nutrition Month with the theme “ Healthy Diet, Gawing Habit for Life” held at the Collaboration Center for Public Health on July 24, 2017.
The gathering was attended by provincial nutrition committee members, IIRR’s nutrition officers and agriculturists, municipal /city nutrition action officers, city nutrition program coordinators, technical staff and employees from the Provincial Health Office, barangay nutrition scholar (BNS) awardees and federation officers, and selected active/newly trained BNS.
To ensure quick response during emergency situations and swiftly act on community troubles, thirteen motorcycle patrol vehicles were distributed in each barangay in Trece Martires City on July 24, 2017. Sixth District Board Member Munding Del Rosario led the ceremonial turnover, together with Provincial Administrator for Community Affairs Redel John Dionisio , PCLEDO head Alvin Mojica, and General Services Office Head Enrico Alvarez. Mayor Melan de Sagun, joined with his barangay captains, received the donations and express gratitude to the provincial government. Thirty nine tents were also given away during the event.
