PICAD2017-028

Upholding responsibilities as Chairman of the CALABARZON Regional Peace and Order Council and governor of the province, Cavite Governor Boying Remulla spearheaded another handheld radio distribution on February 16, 2017 at the Maragondon Municipal Covered Court. Local officials in the 7th District told the governor that the support is very timely for the implementation of the MASA MASID  (Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Anomalya, Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Iligal na Droga), a barangay-based anti-criminality, anti-corruption, and anti- illegal drugs program, mobilizing  local government units and other sectors in reinforcing public safety, emergency preparedness and response. A total of 628 two-way radios were given to 157 barangays from Maragondon, Alfonso, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo (Bailen), Mendez, Magallanes, Ternate, and Tagaytay City. The governor who asked for proper handling of devices also conveyed the accomplishments of the province and stated that major projects will soon to rise in Cavite which will open up job opportunities.  Other guests who witnessed the event were 7th District Board Members Reinalyn Varias and Rainier Ambion, Ternate Mayor Herminio Lindo, Magallanes Mayor Jazmine Maligaya-Bautista and Maragondon Mayor Reynaldo Rillo with members of the Sangguniang Bayan who have voiced out their appreciation for the nonstop aid of the governor to the upland towns.
