The Provincial Government of Cavite launched the Cavite Migration and Development Office on July 28, 2015 located at the ground floor of the Bahay Sanayan Bldg., Provincial Capitol Compound, Trece Martires City. The ribbon- cutting ceremony was led by BM Irene C. Bencito and Dir. Luis Banua of National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) IV-A.
Mr. Alvin S. Mojica, OIC- Provincial Social Welfare Development Office gave his opening message while Mr. Jesus I. Barrera, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator gave an overview of migration in Cavite. The launching was attended by representatives from Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), department heads and employees of the provincial government, non-government organizations and local government units.

As part of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan training program to further equip every employee with the basics on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (DRR-CCA), a seminar/lecture was conducted on July 28-29, 2015 at SP Session Hall, Legislative Building, Provincial Capitol Compound, Trece Martires Cit. The two-day event was participated by all SP employees who showed great interest on disaster risk reduction and management, climate change, first aid and basic life support discussed by resource speakers and lecturers from the Cavite Office of Public Safety.
Prior to the seminar/lecture proper, Provincial Board Secretary Michelle F. Alcid welcomed everyone and encouraged active participation as the event is also in line with the 2015 National Disaster Consciousness Month. She also mentioned the timely and relevant conduct of the seminar/lecture in preparation to the forecasted movement of the West Valley Fault, which may cause an earthquake now dubbed as “The Big One” that might hit the country and may hugely affect the province.
Gov. Jonvic Remulla and the employees of the Provincial Government of Cavite celebrated Princess Victoria Arena Brutas’ 1st birthday at the provincial gymnasium in Trece Martires City recently. Princess was born at Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital last year and is the symbolic 100 millionth Pinoy baby of the province. Ten thousand worth of gift packs and Philhealth membership was awarded to her by Regional Director Lydio M. Español, Jr. of the Commission on Population-Region IV (right), with Vice Governor Jolo Revilla, Provincial Population Officer Lorena Cron, and Provincial Health Officer Dr George Repique.
