The Provincial Government of Cavite under the leadership of Gov. Jonvic C. Remulla distributed another 100 unit of closed circuit television (cctv) to 37 barangays of the City of Imus on May 30, 2015 at Imus Sports Complex , with the presence of Imus Mayor Emmanuel L. Maliksi. The ceremonial turnover was the third batch of CCTV distribution with the first activity done on January 26, 2015 at General Trias with 28 CCTV units distributed while the second batch was held on May 22, 2015 at Bacoor Coliseum Molino 3 in the City of Bacoor with 100 CCTV dispersed. Likewise, Mayor Maliksi has given 500 units of bicycle to 250 subdivisions of the city while Cong. Alex Advincula distributed 22 motorcycle with sidecar to 22 barangays.Board Member Arnel M. Cantimbuhan and Board Member Larry Nato also graced the event.
The Cavite Computer Center (CCC) recently held its 23rd Recognition Day at the Cavite Provincial Gymnasium on May 30, 2015 with a total of two hundred twenty five (225) students graduated this year.
The CCC which is directly under the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Office (PICTO) gives free computer training courses to interested individuals including the youth, out of school youths and even to businessmen and retirees who value the importance of computer.
As support to the traditional dance being performed on the streets during various town fiestas in the province, SM Events Management in coordination with the Provincial Government of Cavite thru the Provincial Tourism Office led by Ms Liberty Herrera, spearheaded the conduct of Caviteño Karakol Festival 2015 Dance Competition on May 30, 2015 at the SM City Dasmariñas Events Center. Sto Niño Karakol Group from Indang took home the grand prize of Php 100,000.00 being hailed as Champion, who bested out seven other entries from Imus, Silang, Amadeo, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Kawit, Ternate and Gen. Trias. Team Imuseño placed second and bagged the Php50,000.00 cash prize, while Tibig I Karakol Dancers of Silang got the 3 spot and the Php 30,000.00. All the colorful and merry karakol dancers who provided fun and entertainment at the mall were awarded certificates of participation as well as earned much applause from the crowd. Likewise, also present during the awarding ceremony are the city/municipal tourism officers in the province, together with Cavite Provincial Tourism Board Inc. Public Relations Officer Rosanni Recreo-Sarile .
