Cavite Governor Jonvic C. Remulla together with Dr. George Repique, Provincial Health Officer led the distribution of the quarterly incentive for Barangay Health Workers (BHW) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) held at the Municipal Covered Court in Indang, Cavite last March 6, 2014. Mayor Bienvenido Dimero was also present in the program.
A total of P14,424,000.00 was given to 2,412 BHW corresponding to the third and fourth quarter incentives for 2013 while P1,866,600.00 was also distributed to 389 BNS.
Each BHW receives P1,000 incentive per month from the Provincial Government in recognition of their significant role in bridging health care programs and related services to communities all over Cavite.
In full support to Amadeo Mayor Benjo Villanueva’s mission to boost the town’s coffee industry and be recognized as haven for agri-business and eco-tourism investment, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla initiated an infrastructure project in this town known as the Cavite Coffee Development Center – a collaborative endeavour with Senator Kiko Pangilinan for the benefit of local coffee growers, co-operators and entrepreneurs.
To be able to take part in the nationwide campaign against measles and polio, the provincial government of Cavite led by Gov. Jonvic Remulla, thru the effort of the Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. George Repique held an advocacy meeting on March 7, 2014 at the Cavite Collaboration Center for Public Health in Trece Martires City. The early gathering was initiated to create awareness and outline strategies for the mass immunization of Measles-Rubella (MR) Vaccine and Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) project in the whole province.
