To further intensify health programs in Cavite, the Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. George Repique and the OPG-Extension Office Medical Mission Team under the supervision of Ms. Maribel Bernal conducted Medical and Dental Missions at the Provincial Jail and in Cavite City on June 25, 2016, and in Naic, Noveleta and Brgy. Banaba in Silang on June 27-29, 2016. More than two thousand (2,000) Caviteños benefited from the free health care services like pediatric and adult consultations, dental checks and extraction. Likewise, the event gave away free medicines and vitamins to patients. Health professionals such as doctors, dentists, nurses and other volunteers from the Provincial Health Office and the host community shared their time and expertise to reach out to fellow Caviteños needing their service. Local officials who served as host for the mission expressed their support and appreciation to the provincial government’s endeavours.
More than 1000 Child Development Workers in Cavite gathered during the 2016 Child Development Workers General Assembly spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office on June 25, 2016 at the Provincial Gymnasium, Trece Martires City.
They were motivated by the messages delivered by the Provincial Administrator for Internal Affairs, Engr. Efren C. Nazareno, Ms. Jinky Sidocon, Representative of the Association of Local Social Welfare and Development Officers – Cavite Chapter, Mr. Derreck Z. Zonio, Technical Staff of the Regional Sub-Committee for the Welfare of Children, and Mr. Alvin Mojica, PCLEDO Head who represented Governor Jonvic Remulla. Likewise, a motivational talk entitled, “Hope in the Dark Clouds When Bitter Becomes Better” by Dr. Blesilda A. Rios, Co-founder, Center for Early Childhood Care and Development boosted their morale during the assembly.
